On cold start, engine will only idle until temp is warmed up. In cold waether this can be an hour or so. Doesn't matter if block heater is used or not. Does anyone know how to bypass this feature. The vibration from idling this long is causing everything to come loose. Wiring diagram does not list anything.

An hour does sound much too long, but more info is needed. On 2006 and later models, EPA requirements are such that some engines have a forced warmup period. So the first thing that has to be known about your issue is everything that you can read from the engine label.

Engine Make JD, Model #TY395E1, #05B2300187, Date 05 02, 25.7KW, 2300 RPM/min. XK06-205-00136. Cold weather starting (32*F or below) takes anywhere fron 45 min. to an hour to warm up before it will let idle speed increase. In warmer weather it takes about 15 to 30 minutes. It takes longer to warm it up wintertime than it does to move the snow. ....

Ok. What that does is eliminate the EPA mods from the equation. Now the job is to figure out what would cause this in an earier engine. First thing I'd do is put some serious injector cleaner in the fuel tank. Or - if you know how - use the direct cleaning method. Cuts your cleaning time by 90&.
Then pull your thermostat. Take it to the local auto parts or farm store and get a new 80C thermostat of the same dimensions.
Are you still using the original radiator cap?

I have run Power Service cleaner and it had no effect, always use Amoco premeir fuel, clean containers. Tractor was a demo medel, 15 hours on it when bought. Has been like this since then. Have to try t-stat, radiator cap and go from there. I'll let you know if it helps, thanks! ....

The TY395E1 is an EPA engine and has a modification to the injector pump that prevents it from taking throttle for a few minutes after starting. It could be your start up time is so long do to defective or improperly installed thermostat. Use of a water jacket heater would likely help. I have not had one of these take more than several minutes to kick in after starting cold, but in Arknasas, it is not as cold as some places (80s today). The date code on your engine is February of 2005. ....

Sorry. Didn't realize that the 2005 engine was EPA-compliant as well. I guess I should have considered the E1 suffix rather than just the date of manufacture. My mistake.
Anyway, Power Service Conditioner is a preventative - not a cure. You can't believe the crud that can come across the Pacific in some of those fuel tanks. Do you have black or green stuff in your sediment bowl? If so - as long as the tank needs cleaning - the fuel delivery system will not perform up to standard. The tank in my KAMA was so infected with diesel bugs I initially had to dump the sediment bowl about once a week. Once cleaned and disinfected, I now only have to dump it about every six months now.
When you're sure your tank is clean, get some heavy duty pump/injector cleaner like Lubro Moly Diesel Purge. IT's easy to do yourself, but you can pay to have it done at a car or tractor dealer also. They probably have stuff that's even stronger than Diesel Purge.
But all this is not to say you can forget about the cooling system. Make sure you've got the correct thermostat (Pretty sure the EPA engine takes an 80C also), and that it's actually opening and closing as it should. If yours is stuck open (or not there), the engine will never come up to proper operating temperature.

I agree with Chip you have a EPA engine.
If you have not already changed the injection pump oil ??? I would recommend you to. Also I would use 5-30 engine oil and see if that helps/corrects the cold start idle problem.

The advice is appreciated. Hopefully I will have time this weekend to check a few things out. Its been a nagging problem for the last year. The older engines are so much easier to work on, very little electronics! Thank you EPA. ....
