I recently purchased a 2304. Of course I have no manual as of yet so I have a couple of questions. There is a rubber plug located on top of the transmission in front of the seat, what type of fluid does the tranny require and what is the capacity? Where is the fill plug for the hydraulic reservoir? I will be ordering a manual in the next couple of weeks.

Transmission & hydraulics are together. If you are going to change the oil , buy a 5 gallon pail. I would guess it holds around 3.5 gallon. ....

Thanks for the info. The only question I have left is how do I know when it is at capacity? There is no dipstick, just a rubber plug. I am pretty sure you don't want it filled to the top?!?

Thanks again,

There is supposed to be a dip stick behind the shifter & to the right. The case should be around half full. ....

Thanks very much for the help, I had already found the dipstick and everything looks good so far. Can't wait to put her to work.

Thanks again,
