Hello. My first post here. I just ordered a B7510HSD w/ LA302 loader, 60" MMM, and 48" Landpride box blade. I was initially looking at the B7610, but due to local availability and immediate need, took the 7510. I have about 2.5 acres to cut, plus a lot of minor grading and tree moving to do. Will the 60" MMM bog down much with 16 PTO HP? Would I have problems with 3PT implements like a small tiller or post hole digger? Is the 2 PTO HP difference between the 7510 and 7610 that noticable? Am I just going crazy after comparing tractor specs for the past month straight? Thanks.

I have a little BX1500 with 15hp (10.6 PTO) and a 54" MMM. No problems with the engine lugging down whatsoever, even in tall thick grass. The BX1830 with 18hp (13.7 PTO) is available with a 60" MMM as factory equipment. I've heard nothing about any power problems with it or the BX2230 at 22hp (16.7 PTO). IMO even the base models of each catagory have plenty of power. The only reason to step up in power is if you will be using a particularly power hungry implement or an FEL. Also, you'd be amazed at what going a little slower can do. Use the low range on the trans any time you are using the PTO. ....

I have a MMM on my B7500. Has no problem in tall grass. But the mid mount pto has more hp that the rear. I have a 48" rotortiller, no problems here. I would suggest a reverse tine tiller, worth the extra money. Front tine like mine don't like hard ground. But if you run it while backing up and then forwards, no problem. It can turn a 9" auger with no problem in hard ground, 12" in softer ground. I wish i had more, since a hardy power rake needs 16 min and i rather have more than the minumum. I will find out next week when i demo one. But its a very good tractor. ....

I can see bad things happening using a front rotating 3 point tiller being used when the tractor is going in reverse. ....

I agree with jeffr in regard to tilling in reverse. I have about 12" of decent soil before I hit good old Missouri clay, so the tiller should be OK. As far my original question regarding PTO power, my dealer got in a B7610, so I was able to upgrade from the B7510 to the B7610 for $300 more and the B7610 has the folding ROPS option, which I think runs about $200. I think I did alright. $15000 + tax with the previously-mentioned gear and it's delivered tomorrow. ....
