Front left wheel is leaking h oil where axle foes into box. does not look like axle is straight thru but a box with the hydraulic to turn wheel... fluid is pour out around seal for axle... Question, is this something someone with reasonable mechanical skills can repair or should it be loaded and taken to the shop? any special tools, or can you sub sockets and drivers for pullers? where can i get the schematics for the wheel assembly?

I don't consider this a job for an amatuer but it might be a simple problem. Look for string or grass or anything that might be hanging out from the area that the two housings meet. We often pull them apart and find mud dirt stones or most anything you might find. No kitchen sinks! If it is slow weep we often substitute the gear oil instead of UDT to slow it down. They often do just disappear with a good cleaning. ....
