After months of pricing and comparing I finally decided on the TZ24DA instead of the JD 2210 and Kubota BX2230. I was amazed at the "beef" of this little monster compared to the competition. As many on this forum have suggested, you have to sit on the tractor to know which you like best and the dealer is a large part of the equation. New Holland is very aggressive with their marketing right now and their price couldn't be matched! A special promotion allowed 30% on order and the balance in 12 months. Blue sure is beautiful!

We have sold 40 to 50 of those units with out a single complaint. They are very nice tractors. But the Kubota is nice too but it is all on what you like. just wait about One month and the TZ will have a backhoe too. ....

Thanks for the vote of confidence, Oneace. I tried all of the "Top 3" and I agree that Kubota and John Deere are excellent machines. It all comes down to personal preference and choice of dealer. I don't think I would be disappointed with any of them. ....

I purchased a TZ24DA in June and now have about 43 hours on it. I am completely satisfied. Last week I put my first scratch on the hood, I guess that means its fully broken in. You need to really watch the parking brake, there isn't an indicator light showing its been set.

The only problem I have experienced is a small hydraulic fluid leak on the right side of the tractor just behind the mower deck. I will be taking it back to the dealer for the 50 hour maintenance and let them fix it.

Hope you enjoy, Dave. ....

Welcome to the world of compacts, for their size they are truly a prety tough little cookie. Looks like you followed my old song and dance of "You gotta like the dealer before you can like the tractor". You can park it in my shed anytime and I promise that the Deeres won't attack it overnight. Enjoy your "New Blue". Frank. ....

Mr. Brown, I would like to spend more time on the tractor, but the tractor doesn't pay the bills and keep the kid in college. It only takes me about 1.5 hrs(tractor hours) to mow my two acres where I live. I have another 3 acres that I mow about every other week, which takes about 2.5 hours.

We haven't had rain since hurricane Francis. The last time I mowed was two weeks ago. It's suppose to rain this weekend, hopefully.

You must live on your tractor. Do you eat lunch on it also?
Have a good day. Dave ....

Francis Caused a real down pour here. I measured 5.5 inches in a few hours here at home.
We had the worst flood we've had for many many years and probably the most damaging one monetarily ever. Nearly all business in the business district were
flooded out.
In the down town section many many building have been gutted for starting repairs.

No: I just had years of work piled up for it when I got it.

I have about 30hrs on my Baby Boomer. Love the tractor.
My primary use was to be lawn mowing with options available, however, I have sacrificed mowing for earth moving via Woods tiller and FEL for this season. Having much fun! ....

====================
I have a 38 year old BOLENS Garden Tractor With a 4 foot front blade and a tiller on the rear.
I have used this set up to move a lot of dirt before I got my bx23.
Some thing handy about the tiller on the Bolens is I can till up a pile of dirt then scoop it up with the BX23 FEL. Now I have fine dirt when I need it to work with.
