I am a new father of a new TC33D. It arrived on 1-10-03, its a 4x4, agricultural tires, live PTO, gear drive, with a new mid mount bush hog 1846QT FEL, and a canopy. I paid $14,900. I love this tractor. Now I plan on overhauling my 1952 8n tractor and ether sell it or keep it; for its an old friend.

Congratulations on the new tractor. I've had my TC29 for over two years now, have 360 hours on it, and am still tickled with it. Now I've been working on restoring my '47 Farmall A, but wouldn't sell it for the world. I've posted a link that took place last month on a similar thread on the Kubota board, in case you didn't see it.
Enjoy.

Kris,
Doesn't the "D" mean deluxe and with that comes the hydrostatic transmission? Or has that changed in the recent years? I know when I was looking at them a couple of years ago it was deluxe or nothing. You couldn't get any other features if you wanted the gear model. ....

As far as I know, the D's are hydro only and the S's are standard only.

New Holland has recently made available "D" models without the hydro. They no longer force you to take the hydro if you want all the good stuff. GREAT price though, even for a gear model!

Thanks for all your replies, When I was kid I had a 1964 1/2 ford mustang 289 four on the floor. I guess I have always loved shifting my own gears; and my tractor is great. I can put into 1st or even 3rd high or low range for the work that I am doing around my place. I am and always will be a gear man (ha ha)

That's a good move by NH ("D" model gear tractor). I also like doing the gear thing and that was the leading factor why I didn't buy the NH a few years back.
I remember when Bill got his TC29 and I thank you again for the info.
Good luck Kris with your new purchase, that does seem like a very good price. ....

Hello zigo22, you should only post thing that you know about, because you don't. If you would read and call New Holland you will find out that YES you can get THE "D" in a gear tractor. Do some reading above and you will see a posting from Pacesetter about this. So don't tell me what I have! Call New Holland their number is: 770-723-3602.
Next time get your fact stright before you post.

Kris,
Let me play peace maker here. I believe Zigo22 was talking about HIS tractor being a non "D" model not yours.
Zigo22,
When you post something that is not what you intended, there is a edit/delete button under your name. I found this yesterday myself.
Peace. ....

Keep the 8n, you will miss it when it is gone. I sold my 49 8n after I bought a 4200 JD, and I wish I had the 8n back. It was like a part of the family. Kept it for almost 30 years. ....

Kris,
Once you get a few hours on your 33D, I'd be interested in hearing how you would rate it compared to the 8N. Don't you love live hydraulics and PTO?
Thanks,
Bill ....

Here's a dealer who advertises them, they have two references in their ad for gear/D models: www.oktractors.com/
It's not unusual that big companies don't keep their web sites up to date.
