I have Mitsubishi MT1601D and the clutch doesn't engage.

Parked my tractor all was fine. The clutch pedal has always had low travel but when I returned 2-3 weeks later, the clutch would not engage. The heat buzzer would not activate and I cannot get the clutch to engage. I do not have a manual and not overly familiar with all the options at this point?

Not sure what "doesn't engage" means and what a heat buzzer has to do with it.

What happens when you press it down?
Do you know how to adjust its freeplay?
Is there a front loader on it?
Could you pull the tractor? ....

I push the clutch to the floor and the gears grind. Adjustment in either direction does not resolve the problem. There is a loader on it. All the hydraulics seem to work as normal. I can grind it into first gear and reverse when running low RPMs in low range. It drives as normal until I press the clutch down because it does not stop. I'm assuming the clutch is going to need to be replaced. ....

You will have to split the tractor & replace the clutch. Throwout bearing & pressure plate are probably both bad. ....

Finally got around to splitting it. Got the pressure plate rebuilt. Put it back together and the same thing. I have tried adjusting the clutch pedal but gears still grind when the pedal is pressed down. any other suggestions? ....

I did. Wish I would have taken more time
To inspect everything when it was apart. The one thing i did notice was on the end of the shaft where it meets the forks there was one bolt and a hole for another. Now I'm wondering if the bolt came undone and is causing the issue. With all new parts I don't know it seems like an adjustment issue but nothing I do in the adjustment gives me enough pedal to get the job done. Hate to do it but I might need to pull it apart again. New plate disc bearings but nothing made a difference. ....

Sorry Jnsmas, I was getting any feedback here and lost interest. Not sure if you got yours fixed by now...Thought I would check back. I gave up on in until this week. Split the tractor again to try to figure it out. There was a bolt missing from the shaft connecting the transmission and flywheel. I found the bolt inside the housing. Not sure if this has anything to do with it.

It quit working gradually until it finally "went out" or would allow me to shift without grinding it into gear. When I measure the Throw out bearing on the shaft it doesn't appear to to be close enough to make sufficient contact with the pressure plate in order to apply enough pressure. Not knowing for sure, it seems to be something with this that is the problem.

I might have to break down and purchase a repair manual but those aren't cheap either, which is why I tried this forum first. BUT this hasn't gotten it fixed yet.

Did you get yours running? If so, what did you do? ....
