I here the BX22 is being replaced with the BX23 and I know the 1800 and 2200 are being replaced with the BX1830 and 2230. Any one know what's changing on the BX22?

I was just at the dealer yesterday and he stated the change in the bx1800 and 2200 as you said but made no mention of the bx22. he also said that the b7400 and b7500 series are being phased out. He did not know what they are going to be replaced with if anything. ....

The dealers' meeting is on Oct 5th, and we should have a clear word then. I am hearing from regional reps (who had a pre meeting) that the BX22 is going to be changed and should be renamed to the BX23. ....

Mark, I don't know for sure but you aren't the only one who's talked about the Tach. My feelings are that the new models will have that on. For a unit that was designed and first introduced to the world about ten years ago I think they did a great job for the initial run! It makes me wonder how much they can improve on them but I know there is always some thing or way! ....

Art, you're an optimist! Maybe the new models will not be improved so much as they will be "value engineered". Kubota makes a good tractor so I'm probably wrong, but that does seem to be the way of the world right now. ....

Ken, your right!!! It often takes two models before manufacturers get it right by me but the Faces in Kubota have been changing and it is very positive for totally overcoming there old haunts. I feel they are headed in a good way with a lot of positives. I can understand for there designated market that a tach is a small issue. I have none on my local tractors and when talking with a fellow who thought it would be nice he told me he didn't think it was that nice when I told him the price. We all have different values and priorities!! ....

I am wondering if anything has leaked out about the new B series lineup and the BX's. I think some consolidation is in order, for the B's which now have B7500,B2410,B2710,B2910,B7800. Seems like you don't need a B7800 and a B2710, but then again I am sure someone must think or thought it made sense.

Just got this from my Kubota dealer:

"... differences between 00 and 30 series- 1. 30 series has cruise control, newer dash & different seat cushion. If you elect to go with loader on a 30 series, the valve goes with tractor and on a 00 series it goes with the loader. ..."

Just thought I'd add what I know. Still shopping for a BX.

There are companies that live on marketing and companies that live on there ability to build a good product, Kubota is not a leader in marketing, just tractors. I got my BX 2230 on Saturday as scheduled. I got a 48" bushog instead of the 42" and it powers it without any problem. I mowed some very steep and rough areas and it performed amazingly well. It would be nice if there were a way to get more lift height for manuvering around.

Good luck with your BX23. ....

Mark they are keeping the 7500 style size but with a few improvements and calling it a 7510 now. One of the improvements to them was a different grille so the grass clippings and leaves or what ever might clean easier. I do know that for what you have unless you feel the ned to go bigger a BX would do well for your size property. Some times we need something a little larger to be comfortable such as a little more lift on the loader. There are also differences on the deck to. The BX uses a suspended deck which works well on soft lawns vs the B series deck which is a ground engaging deck. The base difference in the tractors is about 1000 dollars but the attachments for the B series all cost a little more then the BX attachments as they are just a little bigger and a little more industrial duty. ....

EM57pe--

If you look at my website in the Misc pictures of my 2230, there is a photo of the "drive controls" you can see the Cruise control lever just above the 3-pt lift inside the range lever. Yours does not have this? I thought the 23 was the same chassis as the 2230.

Interesting to see where the cruise control is located. On the BX23 the slot is there, but it is used as a pass-through for the seat belt (female end, with release button).

Why? I think putting the seat belt end further from the seat on the BX23 is necessary because the seat has to rotate in order to use the BH. Don't know if that's the only reason for omitting CC though...
