Unless it's personal, curious why you want to sell the machine? I only ask because I'm also a 7800 owner. ....

What state are you in? I'd like a 7800. Hopefully I'll have the funds available for one in a few months. ....

There really isn't a Nada Book per say, My advice is should you decide to take it is!!

1.Get a firm price in your mind what you will let it go for providing it's paid for!!

2.Advertise it locally!!

3.Ebay it as a last resort!!

Dmnsmith; Thank goodness you bought a real popular tractor that holds it's resale well. Spring might be a little better time of the year to sell, but like Archdean said advertise and sell locally to someone you can find back in case of a hitch. I really don't have a clue what the asking price should be, but at a fair price it will sell. Enjoy your day. Frank. ....

one thing of advice I can give you is to go to ebay and put kubota b7800 in the search field. It will give you a rough idea what they are going for. hit completed items and hit it again to see final sale prices. I have the 2004 edition of the clymer used tractor price guide (the NADA of tractors) It lists the 2003 b7800 selling for 13999.00 new and used prices as follows:
12040 if it's fair, 12390 for good and 12890 if it's excellent.

Looking at thisa book and the original cost of my bx2200 I do not think it figured in the cost of the loader. Not sure what your machine cost new with the loader but this should give you a ball park. If you have a fax machine I can copy the listing and gladly fax it to you....Jim ....

$11000 is a lot of dough for a used bx2200. I bought mine for $6000 minus a deck but with a FEL and lots of attachments. I don't think they are much more than 12000 for a new bx2230 right now with no interest. Tough sale with the zero interest deal. ....

Just for your information, my dealer has priced a B7800, Kubota FEL and Woods rear blade for $15,000. The rear blad is worth about $325, so this puts the tractor and FEL at approx 14,700. I live in SW Va. Prices may be a little different down there. ....

Every dealer prices differently just like anything else. If the dealer gives trade allowances off retail then naturally the trade-in allowance is going to be high. We see it all the time as it makes people feel they have a higher resale. JD dealers have been doing it for years and it has worked for them. ....

Art, I have read several of your posts. I have instant respect for your opinion. I was concerned about the weight of the B7800, it is so much lighter than its competitors. It makes me want to jump to the 3130, but that tractor is a little out of my price range. Please make me either feel warm and fuzzy about the 7800 or let me know of a slightly larger tractor I can buy. I am really close to buying a new/used tractor but I am confused on what to get. A used 4310, tc33D, or 7800/3130 is what I would like. FEL and 72" MMM are the features I am looking for, with total price not to exceed 16K, so I know I cant get new. I would respect your opinion here. ....

It depends on your uses as to the tractor that you need! What are your main purposes? What will you be doing the most? If mowing is the main purpose then the lighter the foot print the better for less disturbance of the turf. The larger the deck to tractor is also the best! Who wants to push a mower or trim! This also means less fuel being burnt. If your main purpose is to be doing heavier work digging or tillage, heavy towing work then go heavy but you will have more turf problems do to compaction at a minimum. The B-7800 chassis is the same as the B-2710-2910 only not quite as well equipped. There are some bargins to be had right now on those two models of tractors as they are being replaced.
