As much as I love my BX tractor, the one thing that drives me crazy is that there is no storage space to put gloves, pliers, etc. The worse part is that I cannot even find a reasonable place on the tractor to add one. I was going to build a wooden box but where would I stick it.
Any suggestions...

I've pondered the same thing. Best I can come up with (not that I have actually done anything yet) is buying a small plastic toolbox and mounting it on the crossbar behind the seat with u-bolts. The crossbar is flat on the 1830, 2230, and 23. It is raised on the 1500 which might make things a bit more tricky. The next best thing might be a simple pvc tube with one fixed end cap and one removable end cap mounted vertically to the ROPS with band clamps. Just make sure to drill a drain hole in the bottom. ....

I'm working on making some storage for my tractor also. I bought a plastic ammo box from Cabela's SE-21-5168 for $12.99 which is quite big (14"L x 11 1/2"H x 8"W). You can also get metal ones for slightly less through Northern Tool. It is sealed, so no drain holes are necessary. I'm going to build a metal platform around the bottom so it can handle the weight and vibrations. Am thinking about putting it on a crossbar and U-bolt it to one of the ROPS. ....

I have a NH TZ24DA that came with a small tool box mounted behind the seat. Take a look at my pictures, no 8 shows a closeup of the tool box. This may give you an idea for your tractor. Dave ....

Does your tractor have an FEL? If so, there's a hole in the left upright bracket that's mounted to the tractor. The hole in mine is covered by a safety decal. You can mount a small ammo box there with a bolt through that hole. You should still have plenty of room to use the parking brake and diff lock "pedals." ....
