Hello,

I am currently looking into purchasing a new BX23 tractor. The current dealer's price is $16,900. That is before attachments. Of which I'll get the 60" mowing deck and possibly the rear snowblower.

I want to make sure I'm not getting hosed by them. Can anyone provide any insight to dealer cost or their own personal pricing?

Thank you all in advance!

kingofbytes,

I had just picked up this past Sat. my BX23 that I had purchased a few weeks ago. The dealer said that I received this $ because he ordered it before the $ increase from Kubota. For the BX23 I paid 15k tax not included. This came with loaded rear tires, extra pins, ect and a complete demo of the machine that lasted a little over a hour.
When calling around to the other four dealers in TN they were all ~800 more. I have read from other posts that $ will vary by location(transportation ?).
I bought it to work 6 ac I have just purchased. I have only managed to put 4 hrs on it but from what I experienced you won't be disappointed in it. Tough little tractor. Good luck with your purchase I hope that this has helped you.

Can you provide the name of the dealer where that was purchased? Also, I understand the BX23 comes with the FEL and Backhoe from the factory. Seems strange to me that they'd itemize that. Also did your MMM come with the grass catcher? ....

lbrown59 bought his nearly a year ago, so his prices won't be accurate and yes, they come as a package, not itemized. The $16,900 sounds a bit high. I'd shop that number around a bit more. That more than I paid (Oct 2003) for my 2230, FEL, 54" deck, grass catcher and front snowblower.

I have the bagger for my BX2230 and 54" deck. It is an extremely well made attachment that is relatively expensive, but definitely worth the money.

If you are in serious snow country, a rear snowblower is a neck/back breaker. The front mount snow blower is well worth the money just for the ergonomics.

Check my website for pictures of the rig. ....

All the difference in the world since the characteristics of the property you plan to use the tractor on has very much to do with choosing the right tractor for the Job or jobs one intends to do with the tractor and equipment.

Can't comment on your pricing since it seems prices vary ALOT region/region or between dealers. I got my bx23 late last spring w/MMM, PostHole digger setup, and bar-tires for about the same ballpark price at 0% financing.

No idea what the snowblower costs; I remove my snow with my FEL and a rear blade.

I don't regret getting the bx23 at all. It's small but powerful, manuerverable, and reliable. I have no idea why whenver the topic of buying a new bx23 comes up, someone always chimes in "they're not big enough".

I'm on 15 acres. I use it for weekly mowing, snow removal, gravel drive maintenance, moving dirt, cleaning horse pastures, landscaping, clearing forest, installing underground water/electric lines, removing stumps, installing acres of horse fence, and pretty anything else you can think of. It's the greatest thing since sliced bread... all in a compact size that I can park in my normal-size garage or that I can slip between my orchard trees for mowing. ....

How much did you pay for the diamond plate canopy and heavy lift? Were those Woods options?

Thanks,

*They come as a package, not itemized.
AV8R
**************
*Maybe so but you can still figure out what each item is costing you if you know how.

When I bought mine I got prices on both the BX2230 & the BX23.
BX2230 $8100
FEL $2300
---------------------------
Total $10400

BX23 $8100
FEL $2300
-----------------------
Subtotal $10400
Back Hoe $3800
==============
Total $14200

The only difference between the 2 tractors is the back hoe.
The one without the back hoe was 10400 the one with the back hoe was 14200
It cost me 3800 more to get the one with the back hoe.

*Usually they are the ones who didn't completely analyze or evaluate their situation and properly match tractor and property requirements. Seldom is it due to short comings of the BX23 and the other the sub compacts.

People have also moved from a larger tractor to a sub compact for the same reason.

B T W $15700.00 is a very good price.
