I'm looking at a JD 650 S 2WD Compact Tractor with 60" belly mower. I can't find anything on the 'net even after a good search. Can anyone tell me more about this model? BTW, the owner wants $5500 for it. It has 1300 hours on it. I would call it in good condition with some rustout on the body panels.Any info would be appreciated

Most JD 650's go for around $4500 here in SC. At least, the one's that I see advertised for sale. I think there is one listed in the Online Trader.com that is about $4500. Heck, I gave $4500 for my 750 with 977 hours on it! I think you should be able to get that tractor at a better price. If you really are serious, make him an offer. The worst he can do is tell you go jump! BTW, that tractor has about 18 engine hp and 15 pto hp. It's a 2 cylinder Yanmar diesel. These are great little tractors that will last forever with good maintanence.Keith ....

Bill, I paid $6500 for a 650S with 800 hours in cherry condition. It included a 5ft Woods finish mower and and Befco Rototiller. It is a great little tractor. Recently got a 4ft bush hog and it has now problems with it even in heavy brush. ....
