Which series of them would you like, they started with the 4000 series in the early 60's than went to the 4010 that was new and improved and then the 4020. On the new models they have introduced the 5020 series and up on there utility line. JD has been doing it for years. Now what info are you looking for? ....

This was a new tractor. It appears to be in between the X series lawn & garden tractor & the 4000 series. It had the ROPS & 3 point hitch and turf tires. ....

It is the 2210. John Deere's new competition for the Kubota BX-2200. Slightly larger with more powerful specs. Supposedly JD will have a backhoe available for this and the 4010, 4110, 4115 that will be stronger than the BX-22.

Should make things interesting for the BX line. ....

Thanks, Jim. You mentioned a backhoe. Do you happen to know if this would possibly work on the 4100? ....

JimBober,

I own a BX22, and have driven the JD2210, I also did inquire about the BH coming. The 2210 is not larger, than the BX22, and there is no reason to believe that it's BH will be better either. Remember even the 4010 pales in comparison to the BX22, it lighter, less engine HP, less PTO HP, is rated for less implements.

My take

Seth ....

Seth:
I never said the 2210 was better then the BX. All I stated was that the "specs" were listed as better, i.e. 23hp, more lifting power with the loader, slightly longer, etc. Overall I expect the BX and the 2210 to fight it out pretty good as they really are pretty close. I own both a JD345 and a Kubota B2400. Almost traded them in for a BX-22 but decided to wait as the time of year to sell used tractors was not great.

It should be interesting if indeed JD does release a BH. My guess though is they will never beat the 4pt mount of the BX-22 BH.

Jim B.

JimBober,

My information is that the BH will be subframe mounted BH.
