Finally got to see the new JD4310 yesterday at the Durham,NC dealer. They seem to be about the same except for the added bells and whistles, like push button 4 wheel drive and the power reverser on the synque shift. I ask the dealer to price me a 4210 with synque shift and front loader with 4wd and fold down rops and he gave me a price of $16,500. I stay away from the hydros and power reverser, just something else to worry about going bad. The 3 year old 4200 I have with collar shift and 4wd with 420 loader has not given me any trouble other than a leaking loader cyl. ....

Jim,
How do you like your 4310? I just bought a 4310 hydro with 72 inch mid mount mower and loader last week. Should have it have it by the end of this week or early next week. Is there anything I should watch for? I haven't had time to read many messages that have been posted to know if there are any problems.

Thanks for any tips you can give me. ....

If your thinking of a loader think again, the 48 won't fit. I have been waiting on my unit and they cannot get it to fit without the tires rubbing the rear wheels. So I still did not take delivery ....

dh83,

This may help-the 430 loader is much better than the 420, check the spec's and lift cap on JD web site. Also the 4310 may not be as much as you think compared to the 4210. I only see a $900 diff in the two, check this website or the deere main site

http://www.midlawns.com/mall/Compactlobby.htm

Here is the details on my deal from another post

The dealer delivered my new 4310 today, backhoe and all. He ended up passing along the rebate and the issue he was having with the backhoe turned out to be a mislabeled bracket that is used to attach the hoe.

The net cost was as follows

4310 $17,200 (has ehydro,dualscv,mid pto,I match,speed match
60mower 2,100
48 hoe 6,100
430 loader 3,100

less trade 10,500 (1992 755 with 340 hours,60 mower,70loader
less 1200 rebate
plus 6% tax
Net cost $17,900 Includes 6% tax

The important part, the thing rides like a caddy, very impressed with the ehydo and new controls like speed match, i hitch and the overall build quality. A lot quiter than my 755. Still getting used to the size, its hugh compared to the old 755. I did not know which way to go, at this point I only have 3 acers so the plan is to eventually get into some light landscaping and use the machine. The 755 was good but lacked the size and I felt getting a hoe for it would not allow me to really use it for the future business. I really have to put it to the test when the rain stops here so the next post will be on th ....

BH3,

I think its fair a deal, here is what I think it should be

4310 $17,500
72 mower $ 2,500
430 loader$3,100

Total $23,100

Less trade $6,000

Total $17,100

less Jd rebate $1200 You have the $700 and $500 for two implements good til May 31st

Net cost before any tax $16,000

Also you could take advantage of the 5.9% for 60 months, if you put down $6000 your monthly would be 193.00 on the 10K financed

The only variable is your machine, I dont know the value. It likely a lot easier to just trade it. I think I would try and get him to 16K even and do it.

I looked at the 4310 and the TC33D. I have JD and like it but found the cost of repair and parts really high. I tested the 4310 and 4410 and found them really sweet but all the switches really made me wonder about possible issues with moisture and usage. After all the deciding the quality of both the JD and NH was top notch. But, for the price JD 23,000 for MMM, and FEL and NH with Superstear, 6 ft read discharge MMM, FEL, 5 ft Landpride rotory mower, Chrome bullet canopy with radio, and armrest for the seat for 21,500 I went with the NH. Cost wasn't an issue but overall product satisfaction was. Also, the NH had extra a lot of extras like swivel seat and retracting 3pt hitch that wasn't available as a standard option for the JD. I just didn't want to test out all the new E-switches the JD had come up with... ....

BH83,

Watch with the 72 in deck, I saw something somewhere, I think on JD website that you could not have a 72 in deck and a backhoe on at the same time.Just in case you ever plan on adding one, it would be a pain if you had to remove the deck each time. The 60 works fine with the hoe ....

Hi, I priced a 4310 a couple of weeks ago and they never mentioned a rebate. Is this new? Anyway I ended up buying a Kubota, my JD dealer was very reluctant to deal with.

Thanks ....

I have had my 4310 for a week. Got 4WD, eHydro transmixer, industrial (R4?) tires, and a canopy. No FEL. Have used a 72" read discharge mower, box blade, 4' bush hog, and Swisher Postmaster (a MONDO KOOL pull-behind weed eater for keeping fence lines trimmed).

So far, so good on everything after 7 hours of use. The only "glitch" might be that the speed range handle is a bit stiff and sometimes does not move as smoothly as I thought it should.

Will report any problems that crop up!!!

New 4310 with 48 hoe, loader and 60 deck. Only problem after 7 hours is the rear rockshaft. I cannot get it to lower, only by hand. It will come up fine. Also the 48hoe, was ok taking it off but now the rockshaft will not lift it far enough for me to get the L pins in. I will call the dealer Monday.

Another bitch, when I was pulling away from the hoe,the hose on the hoe got caught on the power beyond bracket and I ended up pulling it off the tractor, lucky they only had one bolt in so the bolt head came off and the bolt turned out. Nee to get that fixed, glad no broken lines

I tried the rockshaft valve in a directions and all the manuals but cannot get the hoe on. Any suggestions ....

Just got back from the JD dealer. He quoted me 14830 for a 4310 with pwr reverser, 2400 for a 420 FEL and 600 for a 513 rotary cutter. TTL out the door of 17830. JD also has 5.5% money for 60 months. Now how am I gonna talk myself out of this deal? What do ya'll think? Good, Bad or just so-so deal? ....
