I have a sl 1643 ...just bought it and have no manual . I would like one as I am not sure about adding hydraulic fluid.
I see a filler cap with a dipstick below the gear shifter?

also back 3 point wont stay up...
Ive read about electric controls for that but mine just has a lever on right side of the seat.
It does have some wiring that is taped up near that lever.....maybe I am missing some electric controls...not sure...but the 3 point drops down slowly ..will not stay put
There is a fluid leak at the pump though , that may be the cause??

there is another lever of some sort on the right side of the shifter... down low at foot level ..and I cant figure out what it does

thanks in advance for any input

I can supply manuals. Filler cap with a dipstick below the gear shifter is for hydraulic. It sounds like it has been3converted to manual control. Your lift cylinder may need a new oring. Email for details parts at sheaftractor, net ....

The lift control lever looks to be electrical on the lift side perhaps ...and hydraulic on the release side...it appears that the linkage to the lever has some slop and maybe needs attention....
and thanks ...I'll contact you about a manual

where would I find the serial number ? ....

I also have a 1643 with very little information. The previous owner had gone to great lengths to find the oil filter. A WIX 51523 works. I just changed mine last week. My 3 point was leaking off as well. I replaced the 0 ring and that fixed the leaking off. I had to pull the 3 point piston out and take it to a hydraulics shop to find the right one. Regular parts stores and tractor shops didn't have one that fit. The only thing I've not figured out is the speed adjustment on the 3 point. When I go to lower it it slams down. ....
