Well, earthwrks, there are a couple of reasons: being new to this site I just quickly checked out the site without seriously navigating and went to the first place to post, secondly, I figured that I could get a responder (such as you) to either help diagnose or direct me to the best place on this site to post my question. ....

Marc;
When you say "Will not Crank", do you mean the starter won't tun the engine over, or the starter turns it but it doesn't start? ....

Is this something new or has it been getting worse? If you had not cut it off would it have still run for the length of time you are trying to restart it?

Assuming two things here, it is turning over but will not start and second you are cutting it off and not cutting off by it self. I would suspect the fuel cut off solenoid is being affected by the engine heat and will not open when hot.

Thanks for the response. It is not a good situation, let me clarify. After repairing an injector, engine cranked and ran beautifully. I shut the engine down to about 50% throttle to work on the rear hydraulics; engine stopped. Now, when trying to restart, the starter will turn the engine about 1/4 and then it almost seems to "seize up". starter seems good, we took it off and hit the ignition and the starter turned flawlessly. Whiole the starter was off we turned the fly wheel and it sounded almost as if was rusty?...? Plan on breaking it apart tonight and checking flywheel and clutch. Any ideas are appreciated. ....

Great questions. It did stop by itself after being throttled down to about 50%. Just stopped and now the starter will turn it about 1/4 turn before seizing up. Took the starter off and it spins when you hit the ignition so I don't think that is the problem. Flywheel sound rough as a cob (we turned it with starter off. THnkd for your ideas and by the way, I just noticed I reversed my model number. It's a B7100. ....

I hope you well. You are sure nothing you did with the injector could have cause this? ....

Welcome to Tractorpoint, I run this site, and yes you are posting in the correct location. I use the word Review as a catch all for all operating issues and anything other than a price check on Kubotas where we have a borad just for that. Search engines like the words Kubota Review better than any other combination.
