Wow Kenny it's REALLY happening---after all these years.

I see a lot of mud caked on the tires. Is it always that muddy there? ....

To think or not is so true. Hard to be being in the great outdoors to have a clear mind.

EW, all these years...two years ago this Thanksgiving my excavator was delieveried. Took a full year to pile logging debris and burn and then to dig stumps and pile and burn. This was not the only area we had to clean up. We did not begin to move dirt until about May of this year. Considering the amount of hours really put into it very pleased. But all free help is appreicated!! :)

As to the mud, it sure has been a year for spells of rain. We got about an inch Friday night and was really surprised we were able to work there yesterday. In case you could not tell there is a high clay content where the tractor had been. That was a test run with little tractor to see if bigger tractor with trailer loaded with dirt would stand up. Had to run higher ground for a few hours as the ground dried. ....

KT, nice work, it looks like a good time. Nice and easy makes it fun, don't let your EW nemesis make you feel too bad. Well, maybe a little. If you had to do it for a living you'd be working as hard as him. ....

KW, we have 6 months of good sledding here, and another 6 months of not-so-good-sledding, so we tend to say "git-r-done". Down thar, it's pretty much, "We'll git to it when we git to it. Now let's git fishin'"

Kenny, DOH! I'm glad to see by the pictures you posted where Thanksgiving will be this year! All this time I've been going to the WRONG house!

Hey how come we don't see you in those shots hehehe (lemme guess)? ....

Ken, ole EW is not even a good thorn in the flesh. (wait, did have something in one sock Saturday had to remove! :) Even not doing it for a living am working as hard as he does...

Jeff ole boy...come on down for Thanksgiving, will sit a place for you. No don't want you as the turkey either. The reason I took the pictures was to control what was in them and what was not in them, like me! If you looked at the pond, do you think I am fishing?? Oh, if all is done by Thanksgiving I will be most thankful. Since you are so good at math; need about 4 more feet of fill in area about 75 by 150 and then a few more pockets around the trees to do. Then widen the dam by about 6 or so feet so you can drive safely around it for maintance and fishing. In doing so have to dig out the sides on the pond that are just above full water level now to give some deep areas (10 to 15 feet) for cooler summer water as we will be then raising the spill way about a foot. So if done before 2010 will be very pleased. ....
