Soo, was moving some dirt today, got on uneven ground with the front right tire and the left rear was in a hole, She gradually tipped on the left side. After getting it back up on all 4 I waited awhile and hit the key, the starter enguares, but acts like it hits a wall. I rolled the engine over backwards 5 or so revolutions,Yet still having this issue. Any one have any IDEAS?

Joshmuthaf,

I'm guessing that some of your engine oil has been trapped in the cylinders. This will happen anytime an engine has been tipped on its side.

It's always best to let the engine sit for a couple of days, allowing any oil to drain back into the oil pan, before attempting to start it.

This problem will go away on its own after allowing time for the engine oil to drain back into the oil pan.

got it running today, Rolled it over backwards a number of times, Soaked up oil out of the intake manifold, then it finally cranked over... and blew smoke for a good hour or so.. but all seems ok now! ....

Guess I was just lucky when I rolled mine. What's with the rolling the engine backwards? How and why do you do that? ....

For future reference, it's easier to remove the injectors and crank the engine over.

Doing so causes the oil to get blown out the open hole and not remain in the engine where it will be burned on startup.

Best of luck. ....

Josh,

I know I'm off topic here and you probably already knew this or have now figured it out, but when your FEL is loaded you should have some ballast on the rear like a boxblade or such.

Sometimes when I'm lazy and know I am going to only do one load, I won't put a ballast on the rear but when I do this, I drive the tractor with the FEL very close to the ground and if it begins to tip I immedately drop the FEL to the ground and with the weight off the tractor it will settle right back down.

When you noticed that the tractor was at a point of no return, i.e., it was going to tip over, did you jump off the tractor? Thank goodness no one was hurt! ....
