No but if I did it would be the 3ph variety
20 acres thats mowable
L3710 DT
I would need the 7 ft, 3ph type
I'm VERY happy with what it can do and I think finish mowing would be no problem. It's a little heavy for the yard but the field in front of the house would look great finish mowed. ....

Yes
1. 7 acres finish mowing
2. JD4700 and x595/54"deck (hasn't arrived yet)
3. 84", 3ph/rear discharge
4. happy with what?
- Would prefer a combo of smaller tractor (lighter, more manuvuerable) with MMM of 72+".
- Tractor is too heavy but is well-matched to the LP-FDR25-84 at 735 lbs.
- The mower is a good pc of machinery but isn't capable of the mowing quality of a MMM

I mow nearly two acres.
Prefered machine Kubota, currently T1760 w/48"
It is the only kind I can get someone else to mow with.
I'm always happy when I can get someone else to mow. Last mower I brought home (one of the other guys) nobody would use.

My wife has pretty well taken over finish mowing of about 1 acre on each of two properties. She grudgingly uses a riding mower and would prefer to do it by hand. I doubt she'd ever consider using a compact even if I got one with HST. A tractor would cut down on her ability to make floating flower gardens by cutting around patches of what ever wild flowers come up.

If I were doing it, I'd probably stick with the riding mower. There's just too much landscaping and buildings to maneuver around with a tractor. I'd probably make far fewer wild flower gardens though. That may be why my wife has taken over the mowing. Well, the link shows a picture of an out building at our camp. Maybe there is something to be said for wild flower gardens in the lawn.

Yes, I use two compact tractors currently.

1. I mow 3 acres of yard and 28 acres of grass pasture for horses.
2. Tractor for yard is B7200 HST, Tractor for pasture is JD4300 HSD w/FEL
3. MMM 60" for B7200, Befco 6' rotary cutter for pasture on JD4300
4. Kubota is great, I picked it up cheap and can sell at any time. The pasture cutter leaves a section of uncut grass on right side of mower (6" uncut, 6" in), so I have to overlap my cut at least a foot to get a good cut. This greatly slows down the mowing of pasture. I am looking at a 84" Land Pride finishing mower for pasture to get a better and bigger cut. I hope the JD4300 can spin it. ....

20 acres

4600 Deere; 4x4; Hydro; Loader; bucket and pallet forks (put things on pallets so I can pick up to mow under); canopy

3pt 72" Woods Finish; 3pt 6' Woods Rotary; 3pt Deere 350 sickle bar mower... rotary thew fence rows and weeds, ditches, mow, rake and bale -small square and big round bale (800# bales); and finish mow the yard, about 2-3 acres. Finish mowing is primary because I also mow for our church, but the other things come close.

Yes, excellent tractor, pricey, but it'll mow your yard, blade the 1000' drive, feed the horses, till dirt, disc dirt, plant corn, seed oats, pull a fertilizer cart, slow way down for corners when raking, slow and speed up for small square baling, lift 800-900# with the loader, post hole digger a breeze, set pallets up 10 feet high, pull out or back out of ditches with ease, HEY, did I mention you can mow your yard... fast.. sure it's not as nicely groomed like the dr's in town but it'll just grow back next week. Right? ....

Tractor is used with brush cutter only no finish mowing,5ft 3pt. although if kept sharp you almost get finished look. It is a 790 deere . I mostly use tractor for working on food plots on my 40 acers. But then I try to put it to use for anything, beings I have a ball using it ! I really like the tractor but if I could start over I would go with something in the 40 hp plus range to make ground ingadging easier and faster, by being able to use larger imps. ....

the tractor does the roughest finish mowing with a 60" 3ph mower
300ft by 1165ft (7.5 acres), 300ft by 450ft nice lawn
we use a cub cadet 1925 and a 60" swisher finish mower pulled by a atv for the front and the atv does the ditches.
the TC-30 does the back 700ft.
Yeah I'm happy with it, with my son on the cub, my daughter and the atv, and me on the tractor we can kick this out in just over 3 hours including weedwacking
but that 60" swisher finish mower is not durable, next is a comercial ZTR ....

I have 2 parcels of land that I take care of with different machines

1) How many Acres? 9 acres of pasture & 1 acre yard

2) What Tractor do you have? Kubota L3000DT for the pasture & Deere L120 for the yard

3) Mower Width Belly or 3PH? Kubota has 3ph & 5' cutter, Deere has 48" mower

4) Are You happy with it? Yes for both although I've had some minor breakage on the Deere after only 1 season. More than I had on the Craftsman I used to have for 10 yr! ....
