Is there any larger agricultural fairs in the near future over there and is there any information on the net about those?

Erik, Sweden

Erik, I know of a big one held in Iowa every year. But that's dedicated to the big equipment that's typiclaly used on North American farms that are 500+ acres in size. Maybe that's what you are interested in?

I'm not aware of any for hobby farmers like me. ....

Hello Iowafun!
Thanks, I am more like a hobbyfarmer also, at least more hobbyfarmer than 500+ acre farmer...

To me it would be interesting seeing most different sorts of machinery, but if there are not most of the CUT suppliers represented with most of the models also, it would be a miss.

I just tried searching "agricultural fairs" and "agricultural machinery fairs" and there were a few hits, really. The nearest in time is AG Expo at Michigan State University, middle July. Last years exhibitorlist tells Kubota and Cub Cadet for Lawn and Garden and Kubota for Tractors. Can there be so low interest showing latest products or have I read wrong? http://www.agexpo.msu.edu/index.html

To the other fairs I seem to be far too early or late. Most are in January to March and September to November.

There is a show at a local machinery shop tuesday 22.3 for Case IH tractors and they make a larger number of the new compact JX. I dont think its so compact i like, but I will go there to find if there can be possibilities for smaller tractors or at least spare part supply for a tractor model not sold here. Wish me luck.

Erik ....

Good Luck Erik. I spent well over a year studying the CUT's to find my minimum needs and what was available. A show lick you suggest for the CUT market would have been great. But I never found one. As the CUT market grows for us 5+ acre sized hobbiests, one may develop. It would be nice. I know at the Iowa State Fair in August, the local dealers usually have one or two of their CUT's on display. ....

I usually see at least 1-2 tractor companies as well as other implement sellers at the big horse expos. The average hobbyist horseperson (at least here in Midatlantic) doesn't have 100's of acres, so the CUTS are targeted towards us.

I only wish they had *all* the major brands represented at the same time. ....

All of the ones that I know of are over for this year. There are normally in January and February. There are a few small County style amusement and arts and crafts fairs in the early fall that dealer will bring a few pieces out but they are almost too small to mention. ....
