Have looked at P21 2wd, like the tractor, but advised by local reseller (excellent rep) that some parts can be very difficult to get. Does this P21 cross to Ford? Dan

The subject comes up from time to time and I think Leonard who posts here sometimes has connections for parts.
In general, the dealer's advice is pretty good. Parts can be difficult and expensive. Generally the engines on some models Shibaura cross fairly well to some models of Ford and other parts less well. However, the crossovers on engine parts isn't complete and I don't know a source of a x-ref table between Shibaura and Ford part numbers or if a P21 is one of the models that has en engine used in Fords. Maybe somebody else has more specific information. Unless the tractor is very good bargain, I'd want to line up parts sources before buying it though. ....

I have found a P21 also that is in very good shape from a grey market dealer in my state and the price beats anything I can get in a comparable Yanmar or Iseki. The dealer checks out and also carries parts.
Feedback please! Any comments would be appreciated!?

The Fords are hard to get parts for too and expensive.
Get yourself a decent Ford 2000. It's a much better built machine and Parts are cheap and plentiful. ....
