Is there a trick to getting these to start. I use the glow plugs but it's still really starts hard. Have to crank and crank to get it to start. What are you suppose to do with the compression release while your trying to start it.

Operate the compression-release to let the starter spin easier, and as soon as it spins you let the compression back on and leave it there. Make sure the throttle is set to provide at least idle-speed fuel. ....
