Please help

I have a 650g that usually runs great. But on occasion it will start to want to stall and sput and just not to run smooth...almost like the govoner is the problem. I can't find anyone local with any experience with this engine. Dose it is warm or cold weather. If i hold the choke open it will run smoother sometimes...but as so as I let go it wants to stall...this is after the engine had been running for some time and is warm

Also if anyone needs water pumps for this model re built I have a good source that converts them to all US bearings etc for easy futre repair

Thanks

I guess it's a gas engine, which should say that I have no familiarity with the tractor either. But then engines are engines and many mechanics would have a go even if they've never worked on one or have a manual.

Off hand I'd guess something in the ignition system is causing the problem. You might say if it's a magneto or conventional coil/breaker type. There's plenty of general experience around here. ....

hi
check your air cleaner and also check for water in your gas.
remember water is heavier than gas, it will accumulate in the bottom of your tank. when you move your tractor, you are shaking up your gas. hope this helps!! ....
