I got a 445 Long tractor and have no brakes on the left side. I have took off the inspection plate and see nothing wrong. The thing thai cant figer out is how to adjust the brahe other than on the linkage rod. It is exrended to full length. Theres got to be a place to tighten the bande but i can fine it. any help Russ Redrick

There is only one adjustment on my Ford and decreasing the control rod length decreases free play. The adjustment reduces free play on the loosest brake first. It's sort of self-equalizing. No guarantee your Long works like that though. You might try shortening the rod a lot unless you're certain that lengthening it decreases free-play. ....

HI RUS 445 LONG HAS BAND BRAKE I HAVE SEEN THE LININGS WEAR OR BRAKE INTO PEICES,THAN YOU CAN NOT ADJUST IT.HATE TO SAY REMOVE AND REPLACE BRAKE BAND. HOPE THIS HELPS BOB. ....
