I have a Long 2360 tractor and noticed that my fuel injector pump is leaking. I have attached a photo with the link below in red. Not sure how to fix this? Is there a repair kit or something?

Don't know about a repair kit, you'd have to tear down the pump I'd think for that and for my part I wouldn't want to tackle that. Just wondering though, when's the last time you changed the primary fuel filter? Looks like that one has been on there for a while... ....

From what I've read online there's no repair kit per say, just a matter of taking the old off and getting it rebuilt or replace it with a rebuild. Either of these option will cost roughly $550 give or take $50, probably more give than take now. I replaced mine on my 2360 a little over a year ago for a rebuild for $525 here in NC at Sinks Farm Equipment. ....

Okay great thanks. That is expensive! This old tractor set outside for years before i got it. It has been nothing but fix things on it since then. The cheap initial price is not starting to get expensive.

Any band aids I could do to slow the leaking on it for another 3-4 months before i have the money to get a better tractor? ....

I don't know of any short fix, certainly nothing you can put in your fuel. If it's not leaking too bad I'd just go with until you have the funds. ....

That's not good. I couldn't put in rubber sealant on the outside to help or anything?

Reason why older tractors especially the ones that are not made anymore like Long get to be to expensive to keep. ....

lespaulsf, I've got the same problem with my 2360. I believe it is seepage around the two stems. My main problem is the gasket on that thin metal cap is failing, at just 440 hrs on a 1996 model. I plan next week to unhook the linkage and remove the two holding fasteners and make a new gasket. I think the leak around the stems may be from deteriorated "O" rings. I will let you know as soon as I remove that cap. If it is "O" rings it may be a simple fix but you will need to get or make a gasket. You can get the "O" rings at harbor freight or any hydraulics repair shop for must less than replacing or rebuilding a pump.

I'll let you know. Like you I have to save up for the big expenses like a pump or mother will have my hide. //Ken
