Does it matter whitch hydraulic remote the backhoe hooks to? How do you keep the flow moving without tying the handle?

Pampasgrassm,

Unless you have a dedicated high output remote outlet.....most tractors don't have one of these....it doesn't matter which outlet you connect the backhoe to.

Most tractors have a detent position on the remote valves, but the detent is very weak. It's designed to release under high pressure.......in the event that you forget to release it when raising the wings of a cultivator, or bat-wing mower, for example. If you encounter high pressure, the detent will instantly release.

When using a hydraulic snowblower, or a backhoe, where high pressure is frequently encountered; most guys either install a hinged flip cover that fits over the lever when it's engaged, or use a rubber strap to hold the valve open.

Hope this helps.

Joel
