Hello AllI am in the final stages of purchasing a NH29D. I am a first time tractor owner and need a little more advice. Is a woods 1012 loader a good choice? I wood like to get a forklift option with quick attach should I go with the Woods or is there a better brand? Does anyone make a snow plow blade that works with a quick attach loader? Could the New Holland controls be adapted to fit the Woods Loader so that I can maintain the user friendly NH control mount and the better loader?

I would reccomend the N.H. loader. Good unit, and someday when you trade or sell, you'll more than get your extra investment back. Curtis Cab Co. makes a super loader blade! Check them out. They fit all major manufacturers loaders.

Peter B., I'm a Kubota owner myself, but I have a cousin who bought a new TC29 almost a month ago, with the New Holland front loader, and it IS a quick attach model. Folks like Woods, Bush Hog, and others make good products, but as mentioned above, resale will probably be better if tractor and loader are the same brand, plus the fact that, in the unlikely event that you have a problem, you only have one dealer and manufacturer to deal with if they are the same brand. ....

I checked out the Curtis Cab web site. It looks like their loader snow plow blade is what I am searching for. It is not clear if that is a quick attach mount or if it will require some pins or bolts. I want to drive up drop the bucket slide into the blade turn a couple of levers and go. Can I? Can I do the same with a forklift attachment?

I have a curtise snow plow for my JD870-440 loader. Takes about 10 minutes for the change over. I take off the bucket, remove the bucket brackets and drive into the plow put in 4 1x8" pins, hook up the support chain and pop off the roll back and roll forward hydraulic hose and pop on the angle hydraulic hoses and that's it. Sounds more complicated then it really is. Useful tools are a steel drift for alignment and a 3lb hammer to convince the pins that they should cooperate. I also have a small plow for my cub cadet for trim work and that little sucker requires me to in two places at the same time. With a second set of hands,it is not too bad. With out the second set of hands,I resort to profanity and thank God it only happens once a year. Bo

I wanted the hydraulic angle plow and it came with pins. I don't see how they could make a quick attach system when there has to be a way to attach the angle pistons. This requires a framework and , as it is, even when you quick attach the bucket, you still have to get off of the machine and do some aligning. The plow couldn't be simpler to install and if it could be then I would like to see it. I suppose if you didn't want a hydraulic angle plow, then a quicker method, similar to the bucket attachment could be worked out. Even if you got a plow with manual angle then a frame work would be needed and the attachment would be some slower. As it is, it is one hell of a lot easier and quicker then putting on a 3pt. implement. I have no complaint and think it is well thought out. bo ....

peter- I just jumped to the curtis web page and they indicate that a quick attachment is available. I'm curious as to what it is and how much lenght it adds to the plow and if it is really worth a few minutes saved. Their web site is www.curtiscab.com. ....
