I am amazed by the generosity of some people.

Background: I have been helping my retired neighbor (he has a B7100, Woods BH + FEL my inspiration to buy a Kubota) on the weekends cut down some dead oaks (DAMN THAT OAK WILT!) and haul them to his house at the end of the block. He burns wood for heat.

Well, after todays session of cutting, we got to talking about generators. He was showing me his little Honda 650W, and mentioned that he was going to throw away his "old" one because he never uses it and it burns some oil. Long story short, I am now the owner of a Kubota 1400 Watt gasoline generator.

After having sat mostly unused for 10+ years, I changed out the old oil and gas, gave three pulls on the rope it was purring like a kitten! I never knew that Kubota made such a thing! It still needs some clean-up and some fresh orange paint, but for emergency use that's all I need!

I'll say it again, sometimes the generosity of some people amazes me. Jerry is one of a kind.

I get some pics up tomorrow, maybe.

It has never bothered me much to help neighbors. Always seems the help is well remembered. Time is the most important thing you can give someone and it is always remembered.

And nothing beats the saying, "one mans junk is anothermans treasure".

Enjoy the gen. ....

Kubota also sells water pumps, pressure washers and small engines for 'stationary use' on things like cement mixers, or brush chippers. Most of the gensets and things they sell now are diesel only since Honda have such a grip on the gas engine market.

Parts should still be available, but it's a Kubota, you likely won't need any.... {;-p}

Best of luck. ....
