I am getting ready to sell a case 530. Trying to determine what a good price for it would be. It is a 1968 with live Hyd. and pto. 3pt hitch too. Does anyone have an idea on what the value of this would be
thanks

I forget whether it's tractorlinks.com or machinerylinks.com that has something like bluebook values for tractors. As I recall, it's a subscription site but non-members can get a few values. Values do vary quite a bit in different regions so general market values may not be realistic for a particular tractor in a particular region. ....

The 530's all had live pto and hydraulics. Does yours have an eagle hitch? Does it have power steering? The diesal 188 engine if well kept gives great mileage. But can overheat. ....

As a ball park figure; $1,500 give or take $500 depending on condition. If in pristine condition figure even more. If in really poor condition figure much less. You may do better with a buyer who collects older tractors like that. ....

There will be a pressure port on that tractor some where usually back by the 3pt control linkage. and a return to sump port in about the same area. If you stop in at a Case dealer and talk to the service guys they will be able to tell or perhaps show you ion the service manuals where these ports are located. After you have those it is just a matter of making the hoses with the correct fittings on the end to get to your valve. ....

Good call Tony as I have a fellow that we helped about twenty years ago add them to his 430's but I'd have to look at the tractor again to remember where we went in with the lines. He did sell one of his about three years ago and although not in concours condition on the road side he did get 3,500 for it. The tires were all good and the original paint I'd rate about as good as you might find and the tach read around 2800 original hours. ....
