I have an International 244 with 1250hrs used mainly for mowing and a little snow removal. Always garage kept until this summer. The problem is that i cannot get into gear without grinding. I checked the fluid level and the clutch petal is all in working order. I also have a ford 2n and the clutch always sticks if it is not used often. Frequently I have to back it against something. If anyone has a suggestion I would be very greatful. thanks

As I recall; a number of tractor manufacturers reommend storing the tractor for extended periods with an inch or so block of wood slight depressing the clutch pedal to prevent the clutch from sticking to the flywheel. At least my Kubota L245 manual did. ....

I used the old back against a tree stump trick did not work, even after multiple attempts. I also am depressing the clutch for a few days to see if that may free it. To answer the other question the garage floor is concrete. But the tractor has been outside for 3 months. Any other suggestions would be great. I also have a woods 5 ft belly mower on the IH cuts grass great but only at one setting low. I attach some cabels to a pully system that seems to be designed for the woods, but i can never keep it level and the cables seem to break alot. None the less i was wondering if their was a system used to raise and lower the deck. thanks again ....
