When you say you put in a jumper wire, do you mean you tried to use a Remote Ignition Switch? ....

Try if starter works.Take the battery and cables.Put the - on tractor, and put the + to the screw on starter where there is L shaped copper conductor( BUT for really SHORT time a second max) .If it spins the starter is fine.Check the starter relays.Battery - , normaly goes from acc, to main switch and trough switch to treactor metall panel. If that's fine the problem could be in relays,If the tractor is older in relays are basic electronical parts...Good luck! ....

For cold weather, the Belarus epuipment works better than the Delco and about the same price. Call Mark at 641.710.2289 Monday thru Friday for Belarus parts and he is good at trouble shooting over the phone. He is in parts now but has worked on most of the 250, 400, and larger series. This is a good friend to order parts from and call to solve a problem when you are in a jam. ....
