I'm new here and live in alabama. I just bought this belarus 250as and it needs a little tlc but being a pretty handy guy and doing heavy equip maint in the military I didnt think this would be to bad. The first question is where do we get parts? and place local in alabama? Are the filters hard to locate and can you get them from the local parts house or do you have to have specific filters for this engine? I know most equipment you can cross the filters and get from places like napa. Just wanted to ask here since you all seem to be helpfull and full of knowlege.

Second major question is charging system. I need an alternator for this tractor. Do I want to use a factory part or fit up a say GM one wire type alternator.

Thanks in advance.
As I learn more about this tractor I hope to be able to help some folks too.

Thank you for your military service. Welcome to TP, some very helpful and good people here mixed with good humor.

Have you searched for a dealer? About 12 or 16 years back there were I think two in South Carolina. No idea now. Murf here probably is the best on your brand.

THere are a few web sites for them along with some telling they have parts.

Their toil free US phone number is 1-800-356-2336

Hello! If You can't find appropriate fuel filters, change entire filter casing with one of some car for which you can find filters.Oil filter is centrifuge so You just clean it every time You change engine oil.In case this tractor is new for you like You said,You should also check oil in high pressure pump, hidraulic fluid, oil in hidraulic pump mechanism, transmision oil level, oil in steering wheel housing.

You can put on any 12V 400-500W car alternator.

Enjoy the Little mean machine :) ;) ....

Thank you for the reply. Also thank you for answering my questions. I plan on changing all the fluids and filters just to be safe. Once again thanks for the information and reply ....
