So what I thought was a good deal is slowly becoming a pain...I have a 1500D that is hard to start and will run for about 20-30 min. then just shuts down.. I have replaced all the fuel conponents(injector pump, injectors and fuel bowl) took it to a local shop and after $$$ still has problem I took it for..any good ideals..

First off, welcome to our little corner of the Internet.

As for your tractor, I hope you checked the fuel shut off relay and the ground wire from it before you threw a bunch of greenbacks at it.

If the relay dies, the engine will do exactly as you described.

Best of luck. ....

I don't believe the 1500 has an electric fuel shut off unless a previous owner added it. Probably much to simple but have you tried loosening the fuel cap? Is there any reason to think it is getting hot? Could you go into a little more detail about "hard to start"? ....

How long do you have to wait before it will crank up again? Any smoke when it is running? Can't imagine it could be the problem but with all you have tried you might consider pulling the muffler and running it, just making sure your exhaust is not partially plugged. ....

I have followed these forums for quite a while and do not remember anyone ever having to work on their governor. However, the governors on these tractors connect to the fuel rack on the injection pump. The fuel rack slides back and forth and in turn regulates the stroke on the injection pump plungers. Many times I have read of this rack sticking, especially after sitting for a long period. Numerous times folks have had to remove the pump in order to free the rack up. A lot of success with just a penetrating oil and working it. It is not advised to disassemble the pump. The rack is #17 shown in this parts drawing. I am not saying this is your problem, rather, I would lean toward it before the governor. http://www.hoyetractor.com/mm5/merchant.mvc?Screen=CTGY&Store_Code=HTE&Category_Code=YM1500INJPUMP ....

Noticing you have chaged the injection pump. Was it doing this same thing before changing the pump? If so, doesn't seem likely the pump could be the problem. ....
