What is the recommended oil to use here in N.C. Can't seem to find the specified oil in the owners manual. Local Kobota supply house says multi grade will do.
Please advise,
Thanks,
Ron

Any 15W40 will do. I think they're all approved for use in diesel engines. I've used 15W40 in every diesel tractor I've owned, as well as in my old Mercedes 300CD turbo coupe. If you check my profile, you'll see one of those tractors was a Yanmar. My personal preference is Shell Rotella-T

My baby Deere 4310 has a Yanmar engine, it calls for 15-40 year round.
When it grows up it want's to be a real tractor.

Manual wouldn't help because it predates multiweights.

If you use gas-engine oil, change at 50 hours. If diesel-rated, 100 hrs. New filter every other oil change.

Do you have an oil filter number by chance? Looking for a universal one I can pick up around here.

I found them on Hoye... is there really that big of a difference? just curious...

thanks in advance
