I am installing new YM 1500 pistons. I have been told that pistons generally have a marking that indicates a direction like forward. The only marking on the pistons is a TR stamped towards one edge of the top surface. This particular marking would not indicate the front but possibly one side due to its orientation with the wrist pin. Does anyone have any insight to this question for these pistons. There are no other markings that I can see.

Typically a casting mark, line or something on the inside.

Are there valve indentations? ....

Nope, no valve indentations. To my eye it appears symmetric. I don't see anything on the original pistons either, but they are in pretty rough shape so its hard to tell. I'll inspect the inside again but pretty sure there's nothing there. ....
