Please help, I just bought a SA250 Lincoln welder just for the diesel engine for a power plant. The Welder part I was told does not work, But it has a CV/VV box on it and the previous owner spent $800.00 to fix it 2-months ago and stated it works fine.

Now my question, Is there a market for this box and if so what is it worth?

Thank you,
David

Me thinks E-Bay will be your best on line source of info. If you have a large welding supply house nearby that handles that stuff that would be the place that knows about the market.

I have done a little research there. Looking at repair costs.

I am getting 2 salvage welders 1 diesel 1 gas, both BIG SUCKERS, the welding circuits do not work on either. But me thinks the 4 cyl detroit will make an excellent power plant for my wood splitter, elevator and to figure out how to rig it up to my generator.

Need 2 hyd pumps... Smile

harvey, thanks for the reply. I'll call a couple of the big wedling companies here in the State. Was hoping someone on this site could give me a ballpark so I could judge weather is was worth my time or not. I know notthing about welding, was told by a welder friend, to the right person it could be worth a couple hundred but then saw on a welding forum one sold on ebay for $70? I'm going to use mine to power a gravel screen, if I ever get it builtSmile

David
