 Tractor Buying Scam

Got an e-mail last night from "Tom Civik" asking me how much I wanted for my tractor, where could he send a "cheque" and don't worry because he could arrange his own shipping.

I clicked on "properties" for this E-mail and found it had been SENT April 10th at 0147 hours and RECEIVED by my mail server on April 9th at 1900 hours. And it was routed through 7 different servers before I got it.

Anybody think I am too suspicious?

 Tractor Buying Scam

Mark, me thinks the detective training in you was not overly strained by this one.....

There was actually a story about this on the MSN homepage (here in Canada anyways) and how it is happening with large ticket items of every description, mostly with the online auction services, but also with classifieds placed in newspapaers that post them on their websites.

The astounding part was that, according to an FBI spokesman, who spoke on condition of anonymity, they figure this gang has taken billions in the last few years, but despite pressure from the US Gov. the Nigerians are 'not having any success find ing the criminals'.... maybe the Nigerian investigators got the really deep tint on the windows of their new Mercedes-Benz police cars and just can't see the little rascals..........

Best of luck.

I received a similar post on my 955 from Tom C. I was sent at 8 PM and received at 3 PM the same day. Also routed through 7 or 8 servers, a bunch listed as unknown. My tractor sold a long time ago so.
