 Kubota L5740 Tire Recommendations

I plan on buying a new Kubota L5740 with front loader, a rear mounted snowblower and rear blade, I presently have a New Holland TC40D w/industrial tires and find theses tires not so good in snow or mud, would I be better off w/std agri tires, thank you for your feedbacks
Pierre

Pierre, welcome to Tractorpoint.

As for tires, I don't care for industrial R4s at all. In our clay soil they slip and slide in wet or dry and the dealer swapped them for R1 Ag tires. The Ag tires are much better for traction in mud or snow, but if you have finished lawn it will tear them up. Tires are a compromise so you need to pick the best tire for the conditions you encounter most and then figure out ways to make them work in less than ideal conditions. That could mean going with Industrials or Turfs and using chains in mud or snow.

The industrial tires will carry a load better then the ag or turf tires. For traction I like the turfs for winter snow removal as they give the most amount of contact so there is less chance of traction loss. They work the best on blacktop surfaces but also do well gravel driveways with the key being that normally the bulk of the snow has been removed. The ag tires are the diggers! They are great for working in fields and in deeper snow that hasn't been plowed but as Ken stated earlier they can be rough on a soft lawn.
