 Northern Hydraulics Tractor

I just got my new Northern catalog and it has a 25 HP, 4wd tractor for $7500. It appears to be a chinese model with Northern paint and 1 year warranty. It has a 2 speed PTO and a shipping weight of about 3000lbs. It seems like a lot of tractor for the money, but I guess you get what you pay for. I'm happy with my JD790, but for someone on a budget it may be OK. any thoughts?

 Northern Hydraulics Tractor

I believe the jury is still out on Chinese tractors. I have talked to some who say they are OK and of course others who never seemed to have owned one who say they are not. I am waiting to see. I will say that I have visited with the owner of a Chinese tractor and was not impressed. It would not start (we did tinker with it and got it started, the starter switch was bad) and the hydraulics would not lift the 3 pt. They would operate the backhoe. However, the owner thought this was a great tractor. So again, wait and see.
