 Ford 801

I have a nice 1961 Ford 801 with loader, power sterring, PTO. Where can I find values, or can anyone out there give me a range? My first ever "Chat". Been fun to read as I am shopping for a new 30 HP tractor, 4wd and loader.

Scott, Assuming your 801 has a completely hydraulic loader(not the trip bucket type) I would estimate the value to be around $4500 in the West. Sounds like it may be a 861 because it has power steering. 5spd? two stage clutch? Ford had a number of models in the 801 family, based on how the tractor was equiped. Check right behind the starter on the casting for model designation and ser.#. The 861 was the top of the line in the 801 family and is generally more sought after and has the best resale value. I'm not a certified expert on old Fords, but I'm sure someone else will be glad to ad their thoughts as well. One thing I do know is those tractors never sit around for more than a week or two on my lot. Good luck, Don in OR. J.D. Dlr.

Scott in Ca....Why would you be wanting to go to a compact diesel? I would have thought that the Ford is just as good.

Yes, it is an 861. I was looking at the Owners Manual when I came up with 801, but the manual covers several models. Scott
