Anyone familiar with DeltaHook 3 point quick change?

Is anyone familiar with DeltaHook (www.deltahook.com), or any other brand of quick connect/disconnect system for 3 point attachments? The concept seems wonderful, but does it really work? Does anyone know how much these systems cost? Do you think they are worth it?Thanks,Les Kent

I have the Freedom Hitch from Midwest Industries. It really saves time and fingers when you have to change implements a lot. I own 3 compacts and have the Hitch on all three. I really like the fact that there are no pins and you don't have to be aligned perfectly to hook up. I have seen the Delta Hook but think I like the Freedom Hitch better because it is more open to see the Implement behind you. If you are boxscraping or like that and need to see whats going on back there. Here is the info for you 1-800-859-3028. Hope this helps.

I've never used the Delta or Fredom Hitch, but I think they are both worth looking at. I like the Delta because it has a recepticle piece on the implement. That would allow me to make angle adjustments at the implement and keep my 3 pt the same (I realize this would require some fabrication). I think I've sen the freedom hitch at my local "Farm & Fleet". It was about $300-$400. Basically the normal quick attach I'm use to seeing on big farm equipment, with no receptical on the attachment. I could be mistaken though. I'd be interested in hearing about personal experiences.

That quick hitch at Farm & Fleet at $200 is usless. I had one. It sat aroundfor ayear Itook it back. It dont fit to any tool without a lot of modificationI bought the FREEDOM hitch, 2 tractor units 5 tool units, there was stillsome modification on some tools. Cost $1400 for 7units I feel it's worth itthey will last a lifetime & save a lot of skined & pinched fingers. RICH66

The DeltaHook and Freedom Hitch are very similar concepts with one male section that stays attached to the tractor 3PH and a series of female sections that remain on each 3 point implement. I have the Freedom Hitch and it works very well. The only adjustment I sometimes need to make in switching from one implement to another is to the top link of the 3PH and this can be done from the tractor seat. It is sold directly by Midwest Industries of Ida Grove, IA (call 1-800-586-3811 for video tape or to order) and costs about $200 per section. You do not need to modify any implement to attach the female section since there are numerous holes, slots, and adjustments availble to accomodate differences in geometry. The "quick-coupler" concept used on larger ag tractors does not work well on Cat I implements due to the fact that the small implement manufacturers do not always adhere to the standards on the geometry of width between hitch points, mast height, and clearance spaces in the vicinity of the connections. The coupler itself works, but only if the implement is made to the standards.

I should say that i also have about 7 implements that my freedom hitch attaches to. I think that they are great because of he ease connection. On other note, the Delta Hook is a little limited because of the "box" that the pto attachment goes through. this doesn't leave much room for differences in where the pto goes to on the implement if it is offset from the tractor. hope this helps.

I looked at the Freedom Hitch and Delta Hook, I chose the Delta Hook because it was a little thicker material, and the latch is ajustable to compensate for wear, a big plus for me was that the Delta Hook does not move the implements back as far as the Freedom Hitch. It is true that the "box" for the driveline may limit the use of some implements. I was using a Rhino finish mower, but the gear box on the mower was too high for the driveline to connect to the pto. I traded for a brush hog (John Deere), which I was planning to do anyway, and it works fine.
