 Baling Hay

I'm thinking of converting an existing grass field to hay production next year, and I 'm wondering what everyone might suggest I would need to cut and bae the hay. I will be usine a Kabota L4200 or L4310, about 45 hp. I'm assuming I will be making square bales. There are a few implements in my local paper, can anyone tell me if these are good or if they are ones I should stay away from.JD 1209 Mower Conditioner (Works great) - $1,150JD 1209 Mower Conditioner, Hydraulic - $3,500JD 350 Mower 9 ft. (no detail) - $900NH 68 Baler (Excellent condition) - $1,500JD 337 Wire Baler (excellent) - $5,500567 wheel hay rake (excellent Condition) - $850I'm a real novice to this stuff, so I would appreciate anyones opinion. This site is made up of two trips, 100 ft wide and 1/2 mile long (6+ acres for each strip). I might start off with just one side this coming year.John

The 1209 is a late 70's model, 9 ft wide I believe. $1150 doesn't seem bad if it's in good condition. I think the 350 is a 7 foot sickle bar three point hook up. Might be a little heavy hanging off the side of a compact. Don't know about the NH. The JD 337 is a mid eighties model, price seems about right. The rake might be a little high. Don't think you can go wrong with JD stuff. There are lots of dealers and parts can be had easily.
