 Auxiliary service port on 1710

Hi Gents.
I recently learned of an aux. hyd. service port located by the 3point flow control knob on my 1710. Tom G. I bet you know, is this fact? If so what could one operate from this port. Could it supply oil for a 3pt hoe? I'm told the port is opened by placing the lift control lever to the notch in the up most position.
Thanks, Dan.

 Auxiliary service port on 1710

It's the square-headed plug on the end of the flow-control valve housing to the left of the valve knob and just above the steel high-pressure line. There are two square-headed plugs. The owner's manual identifies the port as the one on the end of the housing and facing to the side. From a diagram in my repair manual, it looks like the other square-headed plug nearby but facing forward probably is the same hydraulic point and also could be used. The hex head nuts to the right of the knob are part of the safety pressure relief valve. There is a detent position at the top of the position control lever travel for use of the port. I don't know if draft control hitches have this same feature.

I went through exactly the same thought process. Then I realized that the lift is cached in a fully raised position up when using the port so the idea won't work for 3ph implements. It should work just fine for many sub-frame hoes though.
