 Burst Hydrolic Hose

Monday morning my John Deere 950 lost a short hydrolic hose, maybe 12" long, it is part of the bucket curling side of the system. Removing and replacing the line looks pretty straight forward. I expect to lose a little fluid when I remove the hose along with the small amount that came out when the line let go, (small hole), so I am sure that I will need to add a little fluid to repalce what was lost. I also expect that I will be allowing some air to enter the system during the repair. My question is. Is there a procedure or reccomended way to burp the air out of the system once the repair is complete ? Thanks for all help and advice. Mark

No need. Just operate it a few times and the air will be returned to the tank.

Mark there is no set procedure for this, other than to recycle your hydraulics. After you move the loader valve several times from the exterme's of the loader cycle the air should bleed out on it's own.

Thanks for your help. I was thinking that that was all I had to do, in fact I believe I read it in an earlier post. I just wanted to confirm my thinking. There has been many a time when my thinking has blown up in my face, I didn't want this to be another one of those times. Thanks again. Mark
