Ford 4630 How to replace 3PH Lift Levers

I have a complicated problem Took off lift levers to replace little thing is used to set highth of lift Put levers back on I guess shaft that goes into inside of tractor was not turned properly Raised lever up to lift bush hog then levers would stay and jumped down quickly please can someone tell me how to turn shaft so can replace levers properly Thank someone very much
