 woods 9000

in my last post the prairie dog 1050 has no sub fram spoke to dave the owner and said for me to have one made b/s,so I looked into the woods 9000 with sub fram, largest made by woods with subfram, price I was told was $7100 for 9000 woods hoe ,18in. bucket, and latest sub frame. 4 point hookup ,where the sub fram mount around the rear axel, so not to loose ground clearence, like the old woods style frams did they mounted under the axel. you guys seem to have all different brands of hoes on this site. and must have also looked around, are these woods hoes any good ,and is this a good price. or can somebody point me to look at a different brand . the kubota hoe which is a bradco 511. good hoe, but it also digs deeper and has a little more power but the sub fram mount under the rear axel again and I would loose about 4 in. of ground clearence ,do not want that.so I saw the woods. thanks kully

I have installed many different brands of hoes. My opinion is Woods are very cheaply built, the 4 point sub frames never fit with out extensive re fabrication and if you get the PTO pump you are still going to have to remove the 3pt arms even though the lit. and specs say you don't. The m4900 already has nice ground clearance I would not be afraid to lose 4 or 5 inches to the out side with the traditional sub frames. If if were me Woods would not even be an option.

Kully you have my interests as I've never sold the hoe on a M-series but when I've seen them at the shows they seeemed very well built. I just don't know if that price is right. I know what I want to do in the morning.

10,5 is about right for a new Bradco 511 with a skid loader package. I installed a 611 in a TN75 about 2 years ago that is the only bradco hoe I put on a tractor. I do have to say that was also a 4 point set up and that fit like a dream.

Retail price from Kubota is 12,584 with an 18" bucket not counting Frt. It is an awsome looking outfit.
