 TC33D Backhoe

I've decided to purchase a New Holland TC33D and plan on getting the backhoe attachment. The New Holland backhoe model is the 757C. A dealer I spoke with suggested to get the bush-hog backhoe instead. He said it is less expensive and works better. I'm not questioning his judgement, since he can sell either to me, however, I would appreciate any feedback from users of either backhoe to help me make my decision. Thanks

Funny, about a month ago I had a NH dealer say the same thing about a GB backhoe for a TC29D instead of the NH backhoe. Any insights would be interesting.

Have you guys checked the specs and looked at both models to see the quality of construction, ie. size of pins and metal thickness and so on. Could it be that there is is less of a markup on the NH hoe???? In either case I'm very curious as to what you guys can find out...I'd love to have a nice backhoe, and color would'nt matter to me. Let us know what you decide on.

Vince is definately on to something here. Dealers will often push shortline attachments because they can hold a higher margin and still be less than name brand. One word of caution, most low rate financing programs offered by major manufacturers are for their brand only. Any savings gained by buying cheaper shortline products could be lost by having to pay higher interest on the whole package. On the other hand, some shortline attachments are superior in quality than name brand. Thorough comparisons are the best way to see which is the best value, regardless of price. Good luck.

Well a few things to consider here. One, if you have problems with the tractor because of the hoe, unless it is a NH, you voided your waranty. The othere thing, 757c backhoes are few an far between. I sell NH and JD tractors, and believe me, it's a bummer trying to find the 757 hoes. I traveled 2.5 hrs yestarday one way to get one and tom. will be almost 3 hrs one way. I know NH might be more expensive and you may have to wait to get the hoe, but buy the NH hoe. You have less problems in the long run. Don't get me wrong though, the other hoe the dealership mentioned to you is a good hoe, but i just put my two cents in.
