 sidewalk cleaning

Its 90 out and I'm talking snow removal...!!!I live in Western Pa. clean the sidewalks at a plazza. I am interested in upgrading to a B7300 Kubota. I got a 21,000 sf driveway to clean this year.Over 2000 feet of sidewalk to remove snow from.I was loking at a power broom or front bucket for the Kubota. The back blade is cheap enough to have anyway. I use a snow blower now a 12hp twin stage and in wet snow its a challenge to use. So I am not crazy about a tractor mounted snow blower. The angle blade vs a bucket (costs about the same) blade use only in winter and can't stack snow or use down pressure like with the bucket.Any thoughts or ideas???Kubota vs other equipment ?Is the B7300 too small for a parking lot this size?

Bob:I am acommercial landscaper who, among other things looks after 8 plazas larger than yours and have for years. Without a doubt, the fastest, easiest way is a frontmounted power angle blade, either as a stand alone unit, or replacement for the bucket of a loader (my preference). As long as there are no trees etc. on the sidewalks you should be done in no time. Also with a blade on the loader frame you can easily stack snow with it, and with the bucket back on can easily load trucks to haul it away. A broom makes sping clean-up of sand a breeze, and will dethatch grass in record time, but, do NOT get a rotary broom, it will only make the sand airborne to cover everything in dust and get everybody really ticked off at you!! Best of luck.Ted.
