9th snow blow job for the season....so far

Well, we've had nothing but snow for a month. Which is a good/bad thingy. Bad when I had the Craftsman..good now that I have the 2210 with a heated cab. I've blown snow 9 times for 7 driveways so far. What a treat with the 47" blower & Curtis cab with the "tuck-a-way" heater. Only busted 1 shear pin so far. The spares are grade 5's.

The only potential trouble I've had are people leaving newspapers on the drives and the commercial plow guys digging up rocks off the edge of the asphalt with the belly scrapers.

You folks have a merry Christmas and enjoy the tractoring.

Good to hear from the far north. I spent 6 years up there. 3 at Anchorage and 3 in Fairbanks.

I especially remember the snows in the Girdwood area South toward Seward. It will take a lot more blower than what you have if you get near those kinds of snow.

A word of caution from someone who's been there and done that. Get rid of the grade 5 shear bolts. Shear bolts are meant to be the weak point if the shear bolt does not shear and you bend your auger from a limb, block of wood, rock or a solid block of ice it will be a whole lot harder to shovel while you wait for parts to fix blower.

Have fun doing the good blow jobs...

The toughest thing I ever had to get out of a snow blower was a car tire! It wasn't mounted and never sheared a pin! It took about two hours to cut and pull out!

Was being a "good guy" and doing my neighbors drive a few years back with my JD 47", and he had left a garden hose on the drive. Lots of fun cutting that think out.
