I am looking at getting a Loftness 481L locally and running it on my Case IH 1120 Hydro 2wd. Does anyone have or run this setup? Do I need chains? Is there enough HP to run a 48"? The tractor is rated at 16.5 PTO HP and the blower says 14-35 PTO HP needed. Read some talk about burning cluches too? Any info will help! Also the guy is asking $700 but think he will take $500 for it, is this a good price? I guess I could just resell it if it didn't work! Thanks

I had a 4-footer on my garden tractor, and you have an ag tractor. You might want to confirm that the weight is within your hitch specs to lift, and you don't want a blower that's narrower than your wheel track. Chains can make a difference (somewhat depending on your tread) unless you're going downhill or blowing a little powder. No idea of its condition and value.

Acording to the "Tractor Data" website your tractor weighs about 1400 lbs., so being a two wheel drive you probably have a front axle weight of 5-600 lbs. I don't know what the blower weighs but if your three pt, will lift it ok you might want some front weights or a front end loader for safety and to help with steering. ....
